This little poolside corner got a much needed makeover and I honestly love how it turned out. I was going for a retro Vegas or Palm Springs motel vibe. The “Heated Pool” sign and diving lady might be my favorite part. I added a black screen for a retro backdrop, some big tropical plants, and that cabana shed got a glow-up with a neon sign to fit the theme.

The only thing that would be better than the “press for cabana boy” button is if a Cabana Boy actually showed up. The black and white loungers and umbrellas gave everything that old motel style charm, and of course I had to find matching floats. I reused and repainted a lot of stuff I already had, and added a few fun details like the Crate55 “cocktail parasols” and Coppertone crate tables for that added touch.

This feels like our own little throwback getaway. It’s the kind of spot where you want to sit around in your towel turban, sip something cold, listen to some retro tiki music or a little Frank Sinatra and pretend you don’t have laundry waiting inside. Total summer daydream and that’s good enough for me.
